Assistant Branch Manager - O'Fallon

First State Bank is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager at our O'Fallon location.    This position Assists the Branch Manager in various aspects of branch management to ensure efficient and effective operation of the branch as follows:  Meets with current and potential customers to discuss their financial needs; offers appropriate products and services while developing and expanding account relationships; or refers customers to other Bank departments as appropriate.  Jointly establishes quantitative branch and individual objectives, with assigned supervisor, on an annual basis; this activity to be integrated with the office's annual Branch Plan.  Assists in the proper staffing and training of office personnel; ensures staff is trained in all areas of customer service, including transaction processing, operations, product knowledge, and retail services.  Assists in managing branch staff to maximize productivity and to achieve branch and referral goals.  Maintains current knowledge of all deposit products, procedures, and regulations to ensure office compliance.  Performs duties of a Retail Service Representative relating to opening and processing new accounts, completing necessary documentation, obtaining signatures, ordering checks, deposit slips, etc., and providing services relating to safe deposit boxes, Gift Cards, and providing referrals.  Performs the duties of a Teller to fill scheduling gaps.  Ability to process all types of teller transactions, maintains appropriate cash levels, and provides guidance to the teller department.

High school degree or equivalent is required.  College degree or advanced education is preferred.  Two to four years of experience within retail services is required. Supervisory experience is preferred.

Follows all bank policies, procedure and regulations.  Adheres to all bank security and safety measures as stipulated in established security policies.  They must demonstrate attention to detail, identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, manages difficult or emotional customer situations and responds promptly to customers needs.

Approximately 38-40 hours per week.  Some Saturdays are required.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.  One to two years related experience and/or training required. (Cash Handling/Customer Service)  Two to four years related experience and/or training preferred.

Mortgage Loan Servicing Specialist

First State Bank Mortgage is seeking a Mortgage Loan Specialist for its West Clay location.  The Mortgage Loan Servicing Specialist is a mixture of mortgage accounting and servicing.  They are responsible for balancing the associated DDA and GL accounts for lending and servicing.  The servicing aspects may include general customer service, paying insurance and taxes, recording and releasing mortgage documents, etc.  This individual accurately follows procedures to balance loan funding after loans close, will then address any issues with the closing department, book loans either to Fiserv or the file is transferred to sub-servicer.  Stacks, ships and files loan in the vault and accurately prepares and processes all tickets and third party checks that are necessary to balance a new loan origination.  Services all HELOCs and Held for Sale Loans.  Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully.  Manages difficult or emotional customer situations, responds promptly to customers needs. Focuses on solving conflict, not blaming, and maintains confidentiality.
